There were more than 50 missed opportunities to intervene and stop paedophile headteacher Neil Foden from sexually abusing children, a major review has found. Foden, now aged 68, is serving a 17-year prison sentence for sexually abusing four girls over a four-year period, telling one she “must take it to the grave and not tell anyone”. A Child Practice Review has found that Foden sought out “any opportunity to be alone with children”, and dozens of chances to intervene were missed. Gwynedd Council’s leader said it would act to reduce the chance “for any other evil person in the future to hurt children here again”.
